Does anybody on here know how UF allocates football tickets to the law students, and if any of the LLM students have a chance to get any?

Waiting2010 - I am assuming that you got into UF. Congrats... I am curious when did you hear? I am still waiting and my application went complete April 2.

I am sure the school does allocate as long as you are a student. I would think though that because UF is such a big school, there might be some sort of waiting list or it might be on a first come first serve basis.

I received an email about a week ago about UF football tickets.
There is a student lottery, if you are selected in the lottery you get to purchase one student ticket. The email said this about the lottery.
"The student lottery will be processed by a classification system. Students will be prioritized based on their UF credit hours earned and then be randomly selected from the pool of registered students. Students who have earned 90 or more UF credit hours have the best chance of being a winner of the lottery. These credits are those that each student has accumulated while attending the University of Florida (including any credits registered in this 2009 Spring semester), not credits transferred from another school. Each classification category will be assigned an allotment of season tickets and will be sold within that category. "
Im not sure if I am going to get football tickets, but if other LLM students are going then I definately will.

marlow, i did get in, thanks. it went complete the first of last week, and i got a letter in the mail saturday. pretty impressive how fast the turnover was. the employees at the admissions office are very helpful if you have any concerns, i'm not sure whether you do or not, just figured i'd throw that out there.
football tickets: i saw that on the florida website, but i didn't know if law students were eligible to enter into the lottery. thanks for the info.

I am a current UF LLM. With respect to football at UF, its a big deal. This is SEC country and every game is sold out. I previously went to a school that won a BCS title and students didn't need tickets to go to games, they just showed up. UF and the SEC are different animals. There is no "just showing up" (No tickets are needed for the other sports, including basketball) All tickets to UF football are allocated in a lottery system. During the summer, you "buy" tickets and if they pick your number, they give you a ticket if not you get a refund. I don't know the specific details of the system but I do know that seniors have the greatest chance at being selected whereas new students (grads, freshman, and transfers) have the lowest.
