I figured at this point people are getting around to figuring out where they're going. I thought I'd start a thread for those of us who had decided to go to UF.

I'm going to UF, and am really looking forward to moving down there and getting started.

Hi again, Deacon. I've decided to attend too. I'll be visiting Gainesville 2 weekends from now to look at apartments.

Have you already figured out your living arrangements?

I don't look forward to leaving my cats with family, but there is not only a deposit but a monthly fee for each pet you bring up! I am thinking of also not bringing my car with me and just finding some place furnished.

I haven't figured it out yet. I may be going down in a few weeks or I may go in June. I'm debating living by myself or finding a roommate.

I've got cousins that live there that can check out places for me and I've got a buddy whose fiancée is going to be a 1L and I thought about living with them.

Ive never had to do a housing search from this far away. I thought about furnished places but I already have all of my own stuff and don't want to store it for a year.

I'm actually pretty confused about the whole thing.

That would be nice. I don't know how expensive the houses are to rent though. I am going up the 21st of May. I have a 2nd job interview lined up with an accounting firm too. If it goes well, it basically has cinched my decision to go!

Atara - if I might make a suggestion, you should think hard and long about leaving your car behind. While we have a decent bus system, you may find that the town is spread out enough that you'll really want a car.

Congratulations on finishing the JD. Are you planning on taking the bar this summer or are you going to wait until after the LLM?

Thanks Deacon! I'm taking the bar this summer. Since next year is tax and nothing but, I think I'm better off taking it now before I get even further removed from 1L classes!
