I declined a few days ago so that should open another spot for someone... Decided to do a second degree in my home country before coming to the US

Who knows if your Country matters for the place you are opening ....but anyway....where are you from?

Those of you who have been accepted how are you looking into off campus accommodations? coz I believe there is no guarantee regarding the on campus boarding. I am so confused and tired looking into accommodations in LA...tried craiglist and apartment.com but I have no clue if the areas I choose is even somewhat close to campus! It is even doubly frustrating coz I am in India and can't actually go looking for suitable places to live in LA...Do let me know guys if you should have any idea regarding off campus accommodations...

Just a hint: try maps.google.com to look up campus and the apartments you are looking at! That should give you an idea of the distances. Plus, street view can be helpful, too.

Regarding the search in general, I agree that it's not easy to find a suitable apartment online... I guess the best you can do is try to reserve one for you to look at once you get to LA.

Public transportation in LA is horrible. So if you're not gonna have a car - then try westwood/bel air/brentwood area if you wanna stay close to campus.

There are plenty of apartment complexes in LA. Google apartment complexes LA and you should find some.
