Personally, I'd choose Cornell, but my arguments are based solely on friends which attended those schools opinions. But it also depends on which law field you intend to explore: if you want business or corporate law, go to Cornell.

I got into both programs for my JD and I wound up going to UCLA. I chose UCLA because of the environment. I had a great expereince when I visited the campus. People were warm and outgoing and it just felt right.

It wasn't that I disliked Cornell; I just liked UCLA better. Cornell is in a small town and felt isolated. I also prefer the CA weather. I don't think there is a big difference in quality of education. If you can, I would suggest that you visit both places and see which one feels right.

Looking back, I have no doubt that I made the right choice for me. I loved my time at UCLA. I met great people, made great long lasting friendships, and learned a lot. I can't say enough about what a great environment it was. I still go back to campus to visit faculty and staff who have become a second family to me and I graduated 2 years ago.
