Hi, guys.
Anyone applied for the UCLA LLM course?
I check my status on the website but I'm a little confused.
The top of the web site shows me that "your application is complete" with big letters.
But the middle part of the website shows me that my "application status: Submitted" with small letters.
I wonder which one is right.

I don't understand your problem. The two things don't lead to different conclusions. Your application has been submitted (you sent your online application) and is complete (all the documents needed have been received by them).

hi, gg24~thank you for your answer.
I think two words, "submitted" and "completed", have different meanings because "submitted" means that materials which you gave to our law school are accepted and "completed" means that materials which you submit fulfill all requirements.
So I just wondered which one is right.
Anyway, Thank you for your reply!

Hello,
I'm an applicant to LLM program of UCLA Law, too.
I think you don't need to worry about the status of application. I have a opinion that application status notifies only the status of e-application (form).
When I didn't sent a Toefl report to UCLA, the status was "Incomplete", but application status was "submitted",
As my Toefl score was reported by ETS, the status changed into "complete".
Best regards,

can someone help me? I am a SJD applicant for UCLA and they have invited me to make an application after preliminary assessment.
However, my decision whether to apply would be purely dependant on the tuition fees. Could anyone let me know what is the tuition fees for a SJD student? I have checked the website and the tuition fees website only make reference to their J.D. program (I am assuming the LLM would be the same cost as the J.D.). However, can't find any tuition amount for SJD.
Please can someone help? Thank you and good luck!!!
Kind regards,
G

Hi, rechtic !!
your answer is the one that I wanted to hear!!
Thank you so much~^^
Gregor2008~
I'm a LL.M applicant so I have no idea about your inquiry.
But I think there are some chances to get scholarship for Ph.D(SJD) students.
Why don't you requesting replies to the law school in person?

Hey all!
Greg I copy paste from: http://www.law.ucla.edu/home/index.asp?page=2266
For the 2008-2009 program, tuition is $41,500. UCLA estimates that students will spend an additional $19,725 on living expenses. (This figure varies greatly among students depending upon expenditures on housing, food, books, entertainment, etc.) Tuition costs for the 2009-2010 program will be finalized during the summer of 2009, and can be expected to increase from the 2008-2009 figures.
Hope it helps!!

To terrafreesky
i also received an email that my admission is complete after I checked with the admission office. However, they did not say that they will do a decision "ASAP". Do you have any idea as to their admission policy? Rolling basis or a certain timing?

My application has been displayed as complete for quite a long time, but I never received such an email saying my app is complete and that they would decide as soon as possible.
Last year, most people received answers during February and March. It can come any day now.
Their Website says:
Decision Announcements
The Graduate Studies Committee will begin reviewing an application as soon as all of its corresponding supporting documentation has been received. Decisions will be announced on a rolling basis from January through April of 2009. Applicants will receive an email from Vic Telesino informing them of the Committee's decision as soon as it is made, and an official letter will follow by post.
