Ok, so made up my mind and going to Berkeley in August. (In fact, I am already in San Francisco Bay Area) Will be specializing in either Public International Law or Environmental Law. Anyone on the same boat? Lets keep in touch.

Berkeley offers around 300 undergraduate and graduate degree programs in a wide range of disciplines, and the university has the highest number of graduate programs ranked in the top 10 in their fields by the United States National Research Council. Among other distinctions, University faculty, alumni, and researchers have won 66 Nobel Prizes, 9 Wolf Prizes, 7 Fields Medals, 15 Turing Awards, 43 MacArthur Fellowships, 20 Academy Awards, and 11 Pulitzer Prizes. Six elements of the periodic table, Californium, Seaborgium, Berkelium, Einsteinium, Fermium, and Lawrencium are associated with UC Berkeley and its researchers.[9]
Berkeley was a founding member of the Association of American Universities. Berkeley physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer was the scientific director of the Manhattan Project that developed the first atomic bomb in the world, which he personally headquartered at Los Alamos, New Mexico, during World War II. Since that time, the university has co-managed the Los Alamos National Laboratory, as well as the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory for the U.S. Department of Energy.
Cal student-athletes compete intercollegiately as the California Golden Bears. A member of both the Pacific-10 Conference and the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation in the NCAA, Cal students have won national titles in many sports, including football, men's basketball, baseball, men's gymnastics, softball, water polo, rugby, and crew. In addition, they have won over 100 Olympic medals. The official colors of the university and its athletic teams are Yale Blue and California Gold.

Apart from these wikipedia things, we will enjoy the charming location, easy access to Yosemite National Park and Lake Tahoe, and multicultural and diverse environment in Northern California.
Having spent already a year in San Francisco Bay, I can tell that living in this area is wonderful. Waking up in rainy and warm morning in December and January was great.

I come from Thailand! Hello all!
How long does it take to complete the course? I'm not so sure that I will have enough fin.aid from my family.

I am international as well, and about to turn down my adm offer by Friday.
Love love Berekely, was and remains my first choice. Gutted honestly and sooooo unhappy, but money matters and fact is can't afford Berkeley without sub aid and that isn't happening.
Hopefully will move on with no regrets and make the best of NYU. Do you think they'd let me take classes though? Love the clean tech certificate, very interested in getting it as well.
