Transcript Evaluations

Hi all,

My transcripts have been "under review" on the LSAC website for a month now. I know it is supposed to take "a minimum of 10 days" and can take longer in peak times like these, but am nonetheless wondering whether anyone else's evaluations have been completed recently.

Mine have also been under review for over a month. I have e-mailed LSAC two times this week, but I'm still waiting for their reply. In the past, they actually replied to my e-mails fairly quickly. I will update this post as soon as I hear any news.

In my case it took about 6-7 weeks. It got ready just one day before my deadline for early review to Columbia. And as regards the time to get an answer, the same happened to me. Lsac staff took almost week to answer, but previously, they used to do it in a few days.
Will it affect your deadlines?

I don't know if it will. I have submitted all my applications through LSAC. At this time, I can see that all of the schools I applied to have asked LSAC for my Transcritps Evaluation Report - which is still missing, since my transcripts are still under review.

LSAC told me that as long as I submitted my applications before the school's deadline, sending this report at a later time wouldn't be a problem - but I'm still afraid that this delay will hurt my applications.

After sending two e-mails to LSAC, there really isn't much I can do about it, though.

I called them today and they said that my evaluation had been completed yesterday and needed to be signed off, which would happen today or tomorrow. I have sent all my applications already (and the reports have been requested) - LSAC said that it was fine deadline wise and that schools are generally understanding.

Let us hope it is true. Good luck to all.

I've just called LSAC and they told me that my evaluation has been completed and that they were just waiting for the supervisor to sign it off. They also told me that this process normally takes a couple of days.

However, LSAC also told me that my evaluation was completed on Monday (and four days have already gone by!) so, I am not holding my breath. They seem to be incredibly busy at this time of the year.

OfficerDawg - tell me something when you finally find out about your evaluation. It looks like our evaluations will be completed at more or less the same time.

It's going to turn from "under review" to "approved". That's it.
I think you should also get an email from LSAC. I am not 100% sure though. My evaluation has been completed one month ago or so.

Well, my evaluation was (finally!) completed this Sunday. LSAC rated me as Superior, so I'm hoping that will help with the applications. Good luck to all those who are still waiting to hear from them.

Good evening kim_possible,

I am also a Portuguese national and will finish my degree in 2014. I am interested in pursuing an LLM and was wondering where did you graduate from?

I finally got mine too - Above Average. I was hoping for Superior, but hopefully it won't disqualify me from my first choices.

OfficerDawg: I'm sure it won't. I don't know what are your first choices, but I seem to remember reading old posts about people getting into Columbia, Harvard and NYU with an Above Average.

I was quite surprised by the fact that being in the top 5% does not rank you "superior" but only above average. At least in my case.
