Colleagues,
Please let me know what do you think about my chances of getting into top USA schools.
I have a bachelor's degree (JSD) and a master's degree in international law (MA).
In my country, we usually didn't translate averages and credits, but I did.
My GPA is 3.2. The average weighted score in all diplomas is just over 3.0. This is the weak point in my application.
There is no student ranking in my country, but if we were leading it I would be first in the class of 25 (it’s very competitive school and strict grades, (I'll mention that in SP or CV).
And we also had a scientific ranking of the school, where I got 2nd place of about 1000 students.
I also know a few Eastern European languages (they are similar so it was easy).
I have publications, many scientific conferences, Government award and many other awards. I was also the head of a major project during my studies and have also been a volunteer all my life.
I haven't asked for referrals yet. But I hope they will be excellent.
I have almost 4 years of work experience.
It's worth noting that I'm aiming for a PhD in the future.
How would you rate my chances at top schools? I also hope of very significant funding because of economic situation in my country. This is real?
