Hi Guys,
Please let me know if it is too late to apply for LLM in FALL 2008.I am an international student and I have plans to send applications by JAN 2008. When I went through the blog I read lot of people already have admissions for FALL 2008.Please advice if I am not too late for FALL 2008 or should I wait for Spring 2008.
regards,
Kitcha

Dear Kitcha,
I'm sorry if this answer comes off as harsh, but for that you really need to look at the universities application deadlines that you were thinking about. E.g. while some European Universities accept applications until April 2008 some U.S. and U.K. universities impose a much stricter deadline (which in some cases might have already passed). So, check the admissions page of the unis your thinking of and go from there.

pkotiaho ,
Thanks for your reply. I am trying to apply for Universities in US. Most of the universties have deadlines only after Jan 2008 which means I am safe. But when I checked the forum it looks lot of people already have admission for Fall 2008 so I thought I was late compared to them. So do you think Universties provide admissions based on First In First Service basis.

Kitcha

That's a really good question to which unfortunately I don't have an answer. I can imagine some pretty good arguments against such preferential treatment, but at the same time I really don't know. I think that question may warrant a completely separate discussion board strand as others might have a lot more to say on this than I do.
Cheers and best luck

I think it depends on the university. Some had deadlines in November and December. Some have deadlines in January up to March and April. Some say they accept on a rolling basis, some say that they don't and just wait for the deadline.
