Hello everyone!
I hope everything is going amazingly! I'm thinking about applying to an LLM in the top 10 schools in the USA.
Does anyone know what makes an application extremely competitive? What do they weight more to give you a place in the different universities (HLS, YLS, Columbia, NYU, Stanford)?
Cheers,
Ber

It really depends.
I think that it takes some good stats (in terms of undergrad performance, publications, etc.) to get your foot in the door, but then, schools build their cohorts based on complimentary experience.
I mean, they're not going to recruit all from one country, or look for many students with similar profiles. They'll probably also round out for interests/goals/expertise as well.
In this sense, it probably makes sense to apply to more than one school; maybe your "fit" is better in terms of a cohort at one school vs. another.
