I am on the wail list...

I have no idea about job prospects in CA because of the local economic downturn. But I'd say SLS will do no harm to you :-)

I'm thinking about applying to Stanford, amongst others, in a few years time. I was hoping someone might be able to tell me whether it's worth applying to Stanford/Harvard in particular without a perfect academic record. I have an Oxbridge 2.1 but my first two years there were each a 2.2 and during those two years I failed (and had to retake) 3 of around 20 subjects. I then did the UK GDL and LPC law conversion (with commendations).

Applying to US LLM schools is in itself quite a commitment, and in my personal situation I'm not sure that it would be worthwhile unless there's a realistic chance of getting into the schools I have targeted.

Any advice would be very welcome...
