Hey guys, I had my interview several hours ago and I just found out that I’ve been accepted to the LST program!!!! I wish you all good luck!

Congrats to the two admits! Does that mean they already sent out all the offers for LST? Haven’t heard anything from them. I think it’s not a good sign…

Congrats. Nigerian Applicant here, I was also admitted for the LST program.
Anyone aware of any funding opportunities, either external or internal? I will appreciate.

Congratulations on your offers! I interviewed yesterday but I am yet to receive a response. Do you think they send out decisions simultaneously?

I don’t think so - I think @putra also got his/hers a few days later(?), so I wouldn’t worry too much!

Yep, mine is 2 Working Days.

Is that true that people without interviews were accepted in the last years? Or no chances?

I am aware of just one guy who was admitted in 2020 without prior interview, but he was an IELBP applicant. However this might have been a very rare and excepcional case as receiving the call is basically a fundamental step before an offer is made at Stanford.

Adding to your description, I highly agree that the interview is an integral part of the admission process given during the interview, they truly ask you in details about your plan, motivation, CV, Personal Statement and they want to make sure if that is aligned with their program. So I dont see it as a simply cold call. I think they just want to ensure my personality is also a good-fit for the culture in Stanford in general.
Also I read somewhere, Stanford usually looks for a candidate that demonstrates extracurricular actv. or anything beyond the academic and professional level. Since in my case, they were wondering what I usually do outside of the classroom and how my presence can directly contribute to the class and cohort. Just IMO

So even those who are waitlisted receive interview calls?

So even those who are waitlisted receive interview calls?
I personally know a few who got waitlisted after the call in previous years. But according to past threads, most people who got waitlisted did not get the call beforehand.

Very helpful! Stanford does not provide any funding at all and that is one reason why people may not end up accepting their offers.

Do you know whether those called who got waitlisted received their decisions at the same time as admits? Does Stanford send out all offers at once?

I think those who got waitlisted heard back from the school a few weeks after the interview. But not really sure…you should give it a few days or couple hours tho since you only had the interview yesterday. Hang in there.
