Did anyone who applied to LST (or any other program) outside of Asia get an interview invite?

In past years, it seems to be the consensus that most of these calls are unscheduled. However, there is a possibility that only those in extreme timezone differences like in Asia are being scheduled for the call. Feel free to prove me wrong (for anyone outside of these timezones who got an invite too) :)

The number feels too low for such a brilliant program, even if its a maximum of 20 places per specialisation.

Has anyone else received an invite for an interview or a phonecall for the LST program?

former applicant/current LST student here — just trying to help! last year the LST interviews were cold calls to your phone. only if they’re unable to reach your phone will they send you an email to schedule an interview. but the person interviewing was a different teaching fellow (the former tf). so it is possible that michael r. uses a different method. for your reference, i received my offer around 3 working days after my interview! the interview was v casual just like an informal
conversation about your interests. mine was around half an hourr.

wishing u all the best of luck!! :)

Thanks for sharing n30! I got a request for interview for the ELP program. I was hoping to get the Knight Hennessy cause of funding. Do you know how much financial aid Stanford offers? Would like to prepare my mind cause funding is a dealbreaker for me and I didn’t get the Knight Hennessy.

Would be grateful to hear from you and everyone who may have information on this.

Former LLM here! The classes are actually much smaller, around 16-18 per class along with the SPILS program so 75 is a good number. It may be a bit more since you may have some deferrals (covid 2021 applicants were given an option till 2023). In any case ideally if you have an interview, you will get in (unless you choose to reject them). But best of luck!!

Appreciate it, thank you. I was asking for the average number of applications Stanford gets every year for LLM program irrespective of the specialization and not the class size.

Have you received any interview request yet? Glad to hear from fellow ELP's applicant.

I'd like updates for ELP applicants as well.

If the acceptance rate is 10%, then we can do the math = 170 applicants per specializations or 700-ish all LL.M applicants, roughly.
