Do not be pessimistic Lucky! The interview is definitely not the only thing counts on the consideration of your application! Cross fingers! Can you please tell us some of the questions of the committee? You would be of great help... Thank you in advance and good luck!

Lucky, can you please also tell us how long did the interview last? Thank you and good luck!

That admissions office will send decisions in 2 weeks to all candidates is a big news!
Do all applicants who get admission receive their call? No exception? Anyone knows those who were admitted skipping interviews?

Guys,
I emailed the Office of Graduate Admissions, informing that it's been a couple months that my application was deemed complete, so I would like to know when should I expect to receive a notice regarding the Office's decision.
They replied that "Most decisions will be sent out April 1, 2008". Nothing else.
So, at least in "formal communications", they haven't changed their speach... =/

Interviews? I did not hear anything from Stanford after my admission materials complete message. Does that mean that my chances to be accepted to Stanford are slim? Greetings

We might need some Stanford people to clarify it. When I was applying 2 years ago, most admitted students I know got phone interviews before admission. I did not get one and was later rejected. SO were some of my friends. So I think they review and select certain candidates to conduct interviews.

Are ALL candidates shortlisted interviewed or only a representative sample whom they wish to speak to? Has anyone been admitted to SLS over the past few years without the benefit of a telephone interview?
And just as importantly, did anyone else get the phone call interview?
Anxious!!!! :(

Well done Blooming! Could you pls tell us which were the main questions of the interviewers and how long did the interview last? Thank you in advance and good luck!

Doesn't look good. Didn't get the phone call, and they didn't even retreive my grades from LSAC according to LSAC website.

Hi Blooming!
I think you may deserve a congratulation in advance!! I am just wondering if they notified you of their intention to have a interview in advance. Or you suddenly got a call?

No news as now.
So, in order to be admitted in to Stanford you need the interview? Or, you can be admitted without any interview at all?
Anyone can help us with this query?
Thanx!

To jdshin,
I was HIT by the call all of a sudden! No email, no any hint that I might be interviewed before the moment when they ringed my direct line in the office.
To 8EIOSPIT7,
The interview lasted about 10 mins. All the questions were based on my acdemic and professional background.

Thank you Blooming!
To Counsel: As far as I know, some applicants that the committee will choose may will be interviewed. But definitely not all of the applicants. So having or not being interviewed is not mean anything with regard to your chances of acceptance. Good luck!
