Just wondering if anyone knew which school was better for an LLM in tax law. I have been accepted to Houston and SMU, Houston is much cheaper, but I didn't know if SMU would be much better for tax law. Any info will help!!!

SMU has a higher ranked program, but it really depends on where you want to practice. SMU's program a decent reputation in the Dallas area--but the LL.M. won't carry you too far out of the region. UH's tax LL.M. reputation isn't too great, but it should help you get a job in Houston.
Honestly, unless you really want to practice in Dallas, I would go to Houston because of the price difference. But you don't want to practice in Texas, SMU's degree would probably carry more weight.

between the two - SMU all the way! Not only is it ranked higher in tax law but also overall. UH is a fine school too but will not carry you as much as SMU; in texas or otherwise.

Looks like it will be SMU. Thanks so much!
