I am writing this with hope that some future students may benefit from my post. I have been following this board for
some years now and do feel the attitude about foreign students getting jobs after LL.M is overly pessimistic here. It "may" be difficult but not impossible at all. I got my LL.M from 60 something law school. I work for a big four now. No prior experience or networking. I applied through monster, was called for an interview and was hired. 3 other friends who graduated from same school are equally well placed at a immigration law firm, another big four and multinational corporation. I had almost made up my mind not to do an LL.M after reading this board! Lucky that my family talked me out of it.
Sharing some experience

Brother I totally agree with you!
I actually did some networking but not in the customary. i worked for a company that catered to two big law firms. Made a name of myself, and next thing you know people from the HR dept are asking me if I might be interested in working for them after the LLM. They asked to keep in touch and allowed me to have access to their firm libraries.
You just have to try try try!
