Hi!
Does anyone know how much a research assistant would get paid per hour to work for a law professor in the US?
I'm hoping to get a research assistant job while I'm over there, and for the purposes of planning my finances, it would be helpful to have an idea how much I could earn.
Thanks

I worked as a research assistant for a professor and for a law journal during my LL.M. but unfortunately, foreigners are not allowed to get paid by the university, so I wasn´t paid. But I also worked for public safety on campus and at the unviersity's gym and I got paid. Those are not related to any research or university expenses.

You should check with your law school. If you are on an F-1 visa, you can work for pay up to 20 hours on campus. Each school has different rules as to work requirements and payments. Some schools will pay an hourly wage while others will pay you in scholarship money. Good luck!
