Academic requirement

Hi!
I am a student enrolled in one of the reputed law institutes of india.
My aggregate up till 8th semester is 71% .

However, in my second year. I could not appear for an exam..which I ended up writing in my third year.

I cleared the paper with good marks but I am afraid that my degree will mention an absent for that particular subject in that particular year.


Does this hamper my chances / application.

I am working very hard to pull up my average but this small blot in the record is bothersome.


Please respond.
Especially, anyone with a similar experience but got through.
