Re-apply?

to_

Recently I was rejected from the SPILS and still waiting for the HLS.

Now for me two big issues are 1.whether the HLS would care for my TOEFL score ( which is a little bit lower than 100 and reported very late, as a response to the denial of the TOEFL waiver request).
Since my first priority, the SPILS, its rejection for me was quite discouraging that I started to worry about my TOEFL score reported to HLS.

2. whether I would re-apply for more schools for the 2011 academic year, as this year I only applied for the SPILS and HLS. I am 27 and get more burdensome to wait for one more year.
Re-applying would not make much difference in application materials; I would just get a chance to apply again or apply for lower-ranked schools, and my GPA and other things would stay the same.
Do you have any ideas? I want to flee from the planet.

Don't give up!

You applied to two of the most selective programs, so you should not be surprised if you do not actually get in. That being said, don't discount HLS yet. It is not over until it is over.

If the dreaded news come, then take it as an opportunity to learn from your mistakes and move on. Apply next year to more schools and, yes, you must always have a safety school in case things go bad with the other applications.

Finally, on the age thing, I don't really see what the problem is. It may actually help you as you could always put it in terms of having earned considerable experience before taking the Ll.M. plunge. ; )
