Hi there,
The Personal Statement consists of two parts a. and b. I have a bit trouble understanding what is being asked in part a. What do you guys interpret it to mean?
a. Briefly describe either an important issue in your field of interest or a current legal problem facing a particular country, region, or the world, and then propose a theoretical framework or a legal analysis or strategy to address this issue.
"....or a current legal problem facing a particular country..." I find this particular part hard to understand.
Usually people say "you may face legal consequences etc." but what is being meant when you indicate a country or region is facing legal problems... Are they simply asking us to introduce any present issue in law that is unresolved / arguable in a given country/region. In other words a classical law exam question type situation where the question encourages us to compare two conflicting decisions of an appellate court and then give our substantiated opinion on how the law should be. Is the question asking us to identify one such issue by those quoted words?
Thanks!
