A guy awarded 2,5000 USD by Penn was also finally admitted by HLS and NYU tuition waiver.

Your scholarship is definitely good for median applicants...but if you are really outstanding...you should wait for HLS to knock on your door

What? That scholarship is awesome!!

I was admitted by Chicago, CLS and NYU and waitlisted at Penn.. so, according to your criteria Hakansukur, I should be a very bad applicant.

That scholarship is really fantastic, and the position of Research Assistant at an Ivy League university will look great in you resume!

I belive (personal point of view) that that award will imprese more than be "only" a HLS or Yale alumni. Congrats!

you can write to Harvard and explain them the situation. if they think you worth Harvard Law, they're so full of money that it won't take them long to offer you what UPenn already did...you should just avoid to say them which school made you the offer...it's something us students use to do (if they are outstanding applicants though)

I think that you will get a good scholarship from HLS or YLS and maybe you´ll be constrained by deadlines, then you should contact them and ask for an early decision in order to have all information in mind to take the best of the choices.

Hi - I am posting after few months, since I had forgotten my password and could not log on!

first, congrats on your penn admission and the scholarship - it is fantastic... harvard will bring its results out by 20th march or so, since it does that every year... and they generally all come on the same day by email... but, i know classmates who got the hauser at nyu, and had to accept it before the hls results were out, wrote to hls and got responses back as a confidential mail or a phone call, including giving them an indication of approximate aid that hls would offer, so they could withdraw from hauser...

so if you write to hls, and if you have a deadline for the penn schol acceptance, and only if you have a deadline and you have to withdraw... harvard will tell you its decision, so you can make an informed choice... i had a general acceptance deadline from columbia, but that did not require me to withdraw from other llm programs unlike the hauser does, so harvard did not give me an early notification...
