Hello everyone,
I received offers from Berkeley, UVA, Duke and NYU, and only Duke gave me a 20% of tuition scholarship.
I really need some help deciding which program to chose. I think I am going to decline Berk and UVA, so I have to decide between Duke and NYU. I wouldn't necessarily choose a program over another only because the scholarship. What is important to me is the position that NYU and Duke's LL.M programs have in the US (among companies, public institutions, NGOs, and law firms), and which of those programs would provide me more chances of getting a job in US after completing it.
Thank you so much for your answers!
PS. The clock is ticking, I have until March 18th to respond to Duke! Thank you again!

Berkeley is better than duke in your major, but you have scholarship which is advantage for Duke
on the other hand , in overall ranking and job chances NewYork is much better that all of them
If I were you, I would have choose New york because you will find better jobs in the legal firms hub , if I had the chance I would applied for NYU

Thank you for your answer! Talking about rankings, NYU LL.M. in environmental is not even in the first 15 programs, but Duke is. I am gonna decline Berk's offer because I would like to study in the east coast, near from my family.
Does anyone know someone who already took an LL.M. in environmental? It would be great to have that kind of insights!

Isnt the nyu environmental llm super new? Maybe thats why it is not in the ranking.

Yes it is, I think it has four years or so.
Regardless the rankings, I would like to evaluate which is best in terms of the program and of the opportunities they provide on future jobs in US.
Any ideas?

Realistically, NY does not have a market for environmental law unless you are willing to travel to DC or VT. You have to distinguish between what uni has the best programme. Research the course/module listings and see what job prospects are available in the area. Berkeley does have a comparative advantage over the competition regarding environmental law. However, Duke is offering a scholarship. By far, it would be highly suggested of you to select an offer from a university, whom, is, willing to subsidise your education. Rankings only hinder the process of making a reasonable decision. Wherever you go your family/friends will be thankful. Cease on impressing others for [bragging rights] and go with your gut feeling.
