I was recently accepted into NYU's Tax LLM program, and I was curious about the job prospects that this degree can bring. My fear is that I will pay all this money for an additional year of school and will not have much to show for it careerwise that jusitifies the cost. Could any current NYU Tax LLM students (or recent grads) provide some info? I realize that the big NYC firms are going to be very competitve, but how about firms outside of NYC (do many recruit on campus), or government jobs (IRS, DoJ, Tax Court, etc.)? Any info will be very appreciated.
