NYU Tax LLM Decision

kstar3001

Has anyone received a decision from the NYU tax program or know when they are sending them out? Is there a status website to check as well? I heard my application was complete back in early November but have heard nothing since.

Thanks

I have not heard a decision from NYU and I wouldn't expect one for a while. I believe they release their decisions later in the spring, without preference for time of submission... not like the rolling admissions that most schools use.

I found this from their site:
"Applicants with domestic education credentials who complete their application by the April 1 deadline will receive decisions regarding the full-time LL.M. program in New York City as they are made, without preference as to date of application. All domestic applicants to full-time programs will receive a decision no later than late June."

"In an effort to communicate in a timely fashion with applicants, all decisions regarding application to the Graduate Division will be released electronically. Applicants may expect an email notification from law.grad.moreinfo @ nyu.edu when their decisions have been released."

Is there any way of checking for the elgibility criteria for the same on their website http://www.law.nyu.edu ?

Further, which is the last date for submitting the applcation for the same.

kstar3001 - sorry to further steal your thread question.

Pattu - I suggest you contact the NYU program directly to get an "official" answer.

This might also help you:
(from the site http://www.law.nyu.edu/llmjsd/graduateadmissions/eligibilityandstandards/index.htm )
"A candidate for the degree of Master of Laws (LL.M.)...within the Graduate Division at New York University School of Law must hold the first degree in law (J.D. or LL.B.) from a law school that is approved by the Section of Legal Education of the American Bar Association or a bachelor of laws degree from a non-U.S. law school approved by its foreign equivalent."
