hi all, anyone here assigned to NYU Merce Street Residence? Let's share our thoughts here!

Hello! I've been assigned a studio apt. in Mercer. I'm really excited because it was my first choice. I haven't seen the building or any rooms in person, however, so I am a little unsure of what I'll need to bring with me. Any thoughts?

Lucky You! I really wanted a studio but I didn't put it in my choice because the school said the studios usually are gievn to returning students.....

I guess we'll need to bring a pillow, bed sheet and a lamp (?) as the NYU says there's no overheading lighting at Mercer?

Yeah I am in Mercer too. In one of the F rooms. I have a flatmate but I don't know him. Don't worry about bring sheets and what not. You can always hit up target which is all over the city. Also Ikea is not that far away in NJ and has very reasonable priced stuff for the home. Right before classes begins I'll be going there.

I am assigned an F apartment too!

I also will be in Mercer as a domestic Taxation LL.M. My girlfriend is coming with me so we got family housing in an A studio. Plan on shipping a lot of stuff as Seattle is much cheaper than NYC . . . even at Target. Look forward to meeting all of you.
