Help me out here. I intend on applying to NYU. I do not want to register with LSAC. I am aware that NYU "strongly recommends" (that phrase has been done to death on the discussion board) LSAC but it isn't essential.

But regarding the LSAC-requirement: it is indeed impossible to apply for admissons in 2006 without the LSAC because the NYU does not send paper forms or provide them in pdf for your personal data. You have to apply online through the cooperation between LSAC and NYU. That's the bad thing, 185 bucks are washed away. BUT: You can fill out the personal form NYU and LSAC provide in the online application materials and mark "I do not use the LSAC Credential Service". Then you may download the pdf-form for transcript request (also provided in the online materials through LSAC) and neglect the Credential crap.
