NYU LLM 2017-2018 applicants

Has anyone been rejected by NYU? I am wondering if not hearing from them till now indicates potential rejection/waitlist :/

I suppose the rejection would be issued after admission. I am not sure how NYU deals with the order of admission, but it seems like right now all the people admitted have professional experience, so I guess for those applicants who are students, the decisions would be issued by next week

I don't think that is the case, I have 2 friends who were accepted as seniors in college, one of them got accepted this year and I am sure many others in this situation also received admission.

I agree, I have some friends who are still in college who already received a decision. And it seems that NYU sends admissions and rejections at the same time. You can see from previous years' App trackers that they were still issuing admissions at the end of March - beginning of April, so we should not draw any conclusion from the way decisions are sent, because I am pretty sure that there is no pattern there and that we just have to wait patiently (even though this wait is the worst haha).

Hey ! I'm from France. I assume decisions are still coming little by little, except during this week as it is Spring Break ?

I think scholarship decisions are not out yet. Aren't they all merit based? How can we ask for need based scholarship, is there a separate application process?

I don't think NYU has any need-based scholarship (for international LL.M. students). Plus, I do believe that some merit-based scholarship decisions are out cause it usually did not take that long according to the postings of previous years.

Hello everyone !

I applied to NYU but haven't received any answer yet... I also applied for the Hauser scholarship.
Do you think I still have a chance to get admitted ? Has NYU still been issuing admission email very recently ?

Thanks.

I wish someone can post what do they mention in the rejection letter here, if possible; so we can see the whole picture.

"The Committee on Graduate Admissions has carefully considered your application. I regret to inform you that the Committee is unable to offer you admission to the Graduate Division at the Law School.

We hope you will understand that this decision is a reflection of the strength of our applicant pool, rather than the result of a possible weakness in your application. We receive many more applications for admission than we can accommodate each year, and, inevitably, we must turn away many accomplished applicants simply for lack of space in our program.

Please accept our very best wishes for success in your future academic and professional plans. We genuinely appreciate your interest in New York University School of Law".

Got mine tonight. Honestly, I didn't see it coming and I'm a little confused now.
But I guess it makes it easier to make a decision: University of Chicago it is.

Good luck to all of you guys!
