Has anyone accepted to NYU requested a deferral. Has it been granted? Any info would be appreciated.

I know one person who's deferral request was denied by NYU. Don't know anyone who's got a deferral though.

It's much easier to obtain deferal from NYU than all other top 6 law schools (LLM). It enrolls so many students and therefore has more places to be reserved.

My request for deferral was rejected by NYU. NYU stated that in its experience most people who are granted deferral never come back. It also reassured me that most of the people reapplying after getting accepted the first go-around turn out to be accepted for the second time. So apply again and you'll get in again was my take away.

Maybe they do that so they can earn more money from you the next year (ie. the application fee).
