Hi there~~ I'm admitted by the ILS program but i requested to change my specilization. If it's approved, i guess you'll have a chance of coming to ILS , since the change of progrm is subject to the availability of the requested program.
Oh one more thing, you should submit your request no later than 1 June, 2007

I believe I used to see this information on NYU's website, too. However, now i cannot find such information. Has it been changed somehow? The following is what I find on the change of program instruction.
"You may only transfer from the program .... only before the start of the second semester. Once the drop/add period ends after the first week in spring, requests for a change of program will no longer be considered."

It is written in the papers they sent with the application letter.
I have asked to transfer from the General Studies to the ILS two weeks ago and they accepted my request within two days.

aha....i have also applied for the change of specialization from Trade Regulatioin to the General studies LLM/Corporation law... its been over 10 days and i havent heard from them. When i called the office of grad admissions, they said it typically takes abt 2 weeks

Oh it's corporation law , and it's been over a week since I sent my request...I guess maybe it's easier to change from General Studies to another program.

Hello there.
Well, apparently it is not difficult I know someone who changed from Corporation to International and as I read above they accepted other requests as well.
I also asked for a change of specialization, from General to International, I did so 2 days ago and they sent me an email saying that they will make a decision soon. I'm still waiting.
