Hi, everyone!
I'm from Brazil and I've been admitted to the International Legal Studies Program. I can't wait to start it!
I'm also in doubt between Mercer and D'Agostino... I guess I'll just pick rooms from both of them.

Hope to see you soon!

Has anyone received the registration instructions via email yet? Also, is the Albert registration for law students still unavailable?

Nope, I think we get those instructions in May (Admitted Students site tells you that if you've not received them by late May, you have to chase it up). The registration lottery for law students on Albert will only become accessible around May 15th (going by last year's date). The courses are still in the process of being updated so I expect this will all be ready to go in early May.

Hello all, I am from Israel and will start in the NYU ILS program this fall, anybody considering sharing an off campus apartment ? it's probably harder to get, but it's also probably a bit cheaper and the rooms are bigger, and you have a living area..... the only drawback is that you can find affordable places in Brooklyn or the Lower East Side, but still only a ten-fifteen minute subway ride from NYU....

Hey I am thinking of applying to the Corporate Law Program next year, I am finishing off my bachelor now and was wondering if you have only done your bachelor or if you've done other masters degrees there? Does anyone know what NYU's policy is on what degree an applicant should have?

Hi,

I'm going to NYU this fall and am joining the general studies program. I'm just going to graduate with a BA in law this summer, so you can get in with just a bachelors (as long as it's in law).

Not really! I'm still at uni so I haven't had a proper job. I just worked at a few law firms over the summer for a couple of weeks. I don't know if the requirements for the corporate law program are different, but I think you would stand a good chance if you have good grades, and some work experience at law firms in your own country over the holidays (at least for general studies). Unlike CLS, NYU doesn't specify that you need to have worked for a year or so before joining.

I've only done my bachelor's so don't worry, in my case it was all about the grades, statement, social work and extracurricular activities.

Did you all study national law, as in German Law, French Law, Scottish Law etc, or did any of you obtain degrees such as European or International Law?

I am a current student at NYU and will say D'agastino is certianly a lot of fun the apartments are small but very close to school you will thank your stars when you dont have to walk much during winters in snow or rain. Plus during exams dont have to carry all your stuff and can just run to your apartment and get stuff....... good luck guys

You can enroll and pay online if you log into the admitted students website :) But they only take certain credit cards, so if you can't pay online, you can ask at the bank to get you an international money order, but there's usually an extra charge to make a money order. I think you can get it on the same day. Best of luck!

Looking forward to seeing you all in August!

Hi Pple!

Am from India and shall be joining NYU's corporation law program in fall this year, if all else falls in place.
Would like to discuss and be advised as to the final checklist of things that need to be complied with before joining the school.
Would also like to hear from other Indian students joining NY law schools, NYU in particular.
