i know there are a 100 LLMs at NWU, and about 60 of them are from Asia. It depends what you call "bad"...

I would like to clarify that LLM tax program of NU has nothing to do with General LLM Program at all. The Tax program is a different department from from the General program, meaing no participation between two programs, either in education or life-styles. Except that if tax studenst would like to join all entertainment events of the General Program by themselves...they can do that if the tax students know anyone in the General Program.

There are separated orientation, separated class schedules ( rarely found general students in Tax classes, and as most main tax classes are the only classes of the school that are at 7.50 am in the morning) , separated educational events, and separated group of friends. If you want to know anyone in the General Program, it is your own decision to step in and introduce yourself.

In addition, 90%+ of the Tax Program are American students....if you are being worried of having Asian in your class, you may see only 1 or 2 Asians in Tax Class (including me if you were in Tax Program last year). --> So J.R. .....anyway...I dont think having Asians in class is a problem as I am also Asian.

It is sad to see people that are biased against people from different backgrounds (in this specific case, against Asians) in this discussion forum, placing posts aimed at misinforming the others about LLM programs...

Well, I'm sorry if my previous post sounded a bit biased. This was not at all my intention, as I am Asian as well.
I didn't know about the differences between the 2 programs, and I apologize.

What I really like about this forum is that its users are from every parts of the world and share the same interests anyway. However, we have to keep in mind that for US law students (who spend more than 100 k for the JD) sitting in class with 90 per cent LLM students from other jurisdictions may not be ideal.

There has been a discussion about this issue in this board www.llm-guide.com/board/11309 . However, you should not worry too much about thIs either. Most of my friends who did the LLM in the US told my that they have made friends with American JDs (I am from Europe).
