Hi there
I am a Dane searching for a LLM program in the States starting January or February 2010. My interests concentrate around IP and international business. Does anybody know of LLMs in one of these subjects starting in January or February 2010?
It has come to my attention, that American University (AU) - Washington College of Law (WCL) starts in spring, but does anybody know if WCL is a good college?
Thanks.

Thank you for your answer, clarabella.
Now I only have one concern - are there any other universities, where I can start an LLM in spring semester 2010? It would be nice to apply to more than one university, just in case.

Boston University is another law school which has Spring intake. You can check the law school website. It's currently ranked at 21st by USNEWS.
About American University, is it really ranked at 5th? I thought it was NYU...or were u talking about ranking in IP?
Cheers,

I heard that AU's Environmental and Human Rights programs are among the top in the country.. Probably one of these programs is # 5.
Does AU have an IP LLM program? My impression that they have Environmental, Governmental, and Human Rights programs. Also, they have good clinics... I have never heard of their IP program.. hm.

Hello,
I'm sorry for giving you the impression that AU has an IP program. I dont know anything about AU at all. I just gathered from the upper post that he/she was interested in IP and international law something and someone responded to that by saying that AU was ranked at 5th. So I just asked if the ranking they were talking about was IP or not. It was a mere question, not correction.
Thanks

Hey, I'm an AU alum and I wouldn't recommend it for non-international law type pursuits. It's fairly well respected abroad because of the number of LLM alums, but it's only a regional school here in the US.
GW has an IP law program and accepts students for the spring, though I think it's on a case-by-case basis. GW is a better school than American. Here's the link: http://www.law.gwu.edu/Academics/FocusAreas/IP/Pages/LLM.aspx
