LLM in US with BSc & LLM

Hi everyone!

I was wondering what your opinion is on this. I hold a Bachelor in Political Science and am finishing my LLM in IL right now. Here in the Netherlands, one can complete an LLM without an LLB (and no such thing as a JD exists here). Could I apply to an American LLM program with an LLM but without a first law degree? Or would that not stand a change?

Thanks!

This will most likely vary by school. Many top schools like Harvard state that they rarely admit students who already have LLMs from US-based law schools, but don't say much about LLMs from law schools outside the country. Some schools (Berkeley, for instance,) have specific degree requirements for international students.

Search this board for stories from students who have successfully been admitted to LLM programs after already having an LLM - there are at least a few.
