I am considering getting a LLM in tax after I graduate next year. I not a top student but have solid grades, have an undergraduate degree in Finance and worked for 2 years on a trading floor. I was looking at Villanova and Temple. Where else should I be considering? Thanks.

what is your class rank and what is your school rank? do you want to go full time or part time? what do you want to do upon graduation; where do you want to work?

top 50% at a new law but very solid school. Avg lsat of the incoming class 159. Not sure what I want to do but, I have interest in tax law. How competitive are these programs?

Not very competitive at all. I think you wouldnt have trouble getting in to them at all. No offense but if you are looking to get an LLM to improve your chances at biglaw or big4 I really wouldnt recommend going to these programs as they arent cheap. Now if you wanna learn about tax and become a better practitioner they are useful but remember how much they cost and dont get too high expectation about jobs coming out of them
