LLM applicants to NYU for AUGUST 2008 ENTRY DECISIONS

tellbuk

Hello everyone,

I am a UK final year LLB student and have applied to the LLM in International Legal Studies. I have recently been told by the admissions at NYU that decisions for international applicants will begin to be dispursed in February into early March.

I will let you all know whether or not I am successful in gaining admissions and would like you to do the same so that our sharing of information will benefit applicants and put their and our minds at ease since its a very nervous wait for us all.

All applicants to all respective LLM including: the above, Coporation, Tax, amongst others please reply.

Good luck to all applicants.

Hello PIXIE,

I am also in Sheffield but I am at Sheffield Hallam University. Lets hope that we receive decisions in mid February. Which other universities did you apply to in the US?

Hello Pixie,

I was told by the admissions department at NYU that decisions will be made in mid February to mid March. Like yourself I have only applied to NYU in the USA. However, I have applied to Cambridge, LSE, UCL SOAS, KCL and Kent for a PhD. However, NYU is my first preference. What does your credintials looks like? Did you get a 1st or 2:1 average and what does your CV look like? I am thinking of applying to Fordham University as well as its ranked in the top 50.

Hello Pixie,

I, like youself is principally banking on NYU. I am also on a 2:1 average but had really strong referees. I have also received several scholarships and have undertaken legal work experience in a law firm in London for 4 1/2 months in 2006 and also did a couple of mini-pupilages. I have also been working in the local community organistaion doing some tutoring and a few other activities to boost my CV.

I am hoping that NYU will be satisfied with my application and grant me a position as I would really like to do the masters there.
