I am an Australian lawyer and hold a BA and LLB, I want to practice in Florida and want to know the quickest route to compy with a 'JD from an ABA'? Any tips would be helpful.

First of all u need LSAT to apply for J.D. program in any U.S. law schools. Normally, it takes 3 academic years to complete the degree.
For fast-track, as far as I know, Northwestern and Kentucky offer 2 years J.D. program, in case you are interested.

You may appear for CA bar examination; and if you are admitted, you may also practice in Florida in the area of "Immigration laws".
