Thnx Destiny09 for your wishes.
Congrats to you too for UPenn and best wishes for other schools from where you admission notification is still awaited.
Nusrut Fateh Ali Khan was a great sufi poet and he only sang for love or god. In this song he pays ode to the almighty god. However he mostly sang about love. The Utube video and song does not however do justice to his abilities as a singer and to his actual work.
This was a song which was used for a commercial movie and that's the reason has several urban instruments etc..
Well, If you liked to movie, I think you should read the book. It's titled Q&A by Vikas Swarup and his original narration is 10 times better than the movie.

Hi... even I am finishing Law School this May. But its great that you got in through NYU. Congratulations...I have been put to waiting list by Boston and got rejected fron Upenn, Duke and GWU. I thought that I got rejection as I am a fresh graduate with some part time experience. My academics are also good. May be it was my bad luck.
i'm finishing law school this May. With your work-ex i'm sure you stand a good chance at SLS, though the class is pretty small there. Applied to CLS?

hey nehalllm, thanks a lot! Don't think its your bad luck. Even I got rejected from UPenn... they have a small class and stress a little more on work-ex. Lost out there I guess. Which other colleges have you applied to? Any in the UK?
Which law school are you in?

I have applied to Kent Law School and got admitted there. Have also applied to UVA, USF. Waiting their decision. I am applying only in US. Which other universities have you applied? I am from Advani Law College, Mumbai. Where are you from?
Also can you guide me with your academics and TOEFL scores?

Congrats on Kent! I'm completing my course in May, from NLU, Jodhpur. As for academics, i'm somewhere in the top 5% of the class. TOEFL was waived off for me for all colleges, atleast for the application stage. NYU hasn't asked me to give the TOEFL even after the offer.
Good luck with UVA and USF.

Hi... fingers crossed
Even I had applied for TOEFL waiver in most universities but I was informed by CASE that TOEFL becomes a necessary part in the VISA process. Thats the reason I appeared for TOEFL and got 97/120 not a good score but not bad either. I think you can ask NYU to state in your I-20 that they have offered you a TOEFL waiver which you can show during your Visa interview.

hmmm... thanks for the info nehalllm. I'll find out about the TOEFL requirements for the visa, and incase if they don't give exemptions easily then i'd rather give the test, than risk a rejection, coz the US Embassy can be REALLY moody at times!

How will you fund your study? It is a very big problem. No scholarship.

First of all congratulation for HLS. You are going to a great school which is a dream school of every student. anyway, I have not applied to Harvard.
Where are you from? How did you manage funding? Any scholarship?

Hey Friends,
It's nice to join the Indian community here!!
Congratulations to all who are admitted and good luck to those who are on waiting list.
I got an admit from Cornell, Duke, USC and Fordham. I was inclined for Cornell but heard that Duke is good too. So now, not sure..
Any ideas please?
Thanks.
