I need to obtain 27 credit hours on an LL.M that I am due to commence this August so that I can sit the NY bar exam. Is it realistic to think that I could complete the LL.M in one (1) academic year, if I sit this full time? Apologies for the naive question!

Technically you can (take 13-14 credits/semester) if the Uni regulations allowed it. But to take such amount of credits will imprisoned you at the library. So, think again.
