Does anyone knows if an international LLm student (even among top law school) might be elegible to apply for a law clerk position in U.S courts. I am pretty sure about state court, coz I have done one at the Superior Court of Santa Barbara CA, but I am not sure about federal courts.
I have read somewhere that only 2nd year J.D student can apply to federal court clerkship, Does anyone have more accurate info, or even knows someone who actually got into one of them???

I always wondered what the policy with regard to it is. Just in case this is it helpful, I know that citizenship is a requirement for all internships with DOJ.
