Is JD always better than LLM?

Is a JD always better than a foreign law degree + LLM. Even if the JD is from a low ranked law school and the grades are not the best?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but i believe a JD is always better in the US.With an LLM and LLB, i Believe u need to prove yourself 20 times to a potential employer than a JD graduate.
However, have faith! You are way ahead with the LLM and LLB!

LLB is a foreign law degree that's an equivalent of an American JD.

I say no.

Of course, a JD plus a foreign degree is the best.

However, many would prefer a good LLM with a foreign degree over a bad JD. In that scenario, however, you will usually be limited to projects involving the country of your first degree (or countries with similar law).

I'd say if you hope to work in the US then having the JD is a distinct advantage. I intend on doing the NY Bar Exam when I qualify as a Barrister in England - which is good enough if you intend to work in the UK. I think getting the Bar Exams in the US is possibly more important.
