Hi all,

I am a practicing attorney (civil litigation) and considering enrolling in an international human rights LLM. I want to change my practice focus to this area and have found that I do not have that "demonstrated commitment" in human rights which is required for jobs. I have looked for internships to gain experience but the vast majority require you to be a student. Can someone who has experience and/or knowledge about the field can tell me if completing an LLM will make me a viable candidate for an international human rights job?

Thanks so much.
