I know GULC is a top University but I want to know how good the securities and financial regulation program is.
I have been looking at Penn, Columbia, Chicago, UVA and GULC and want to know which one has the best securities and financial regulation program or scholars.
And what about campus and employment perspective?
Please reply
Thank you
How good is GULC?

Hi,
I have been admitted to GULC LLM in securities and financial regulation.
I am still waiting to hear back from the other law schools I've applied to.
In sum, the specific GULC Program is superb and its location is unique. But in terms of prestige and general ranking there are better Universities.
It's all a matter of making the best choice regarding your plans for the future (where you want to work and what exactly you want to do)...

If you want to work in NYC than maybe you should consider Columbia.
By studying in NYC you are closer to the firms and employers located there (more chances of attending conferences, job shops, etc. there) and you may have a chance of applying to internships during the Program.
And Columbia is indeed a great law school with a good focus on securities.
California Universities are in my opinion better for people specializing in technology / internet etc. issues and are professionally closer to Asia rather than to the East Coast and Europe...
Apart from this and in view of a future international career, there are the golden brands that can do no harm (HLS, Stanford, Yale).
