Hi,
My situation is a bit weird, since I am graduating in December from my Phd program in France and I am moving to the US in March to marry my American fiancé. I have no idea what job I could find there and I am pretty worried.
My idea was to apply into an llm program and pass the bar, but I read that most US law firms don't really take foreign lawyers who only hold an llm..I have no choice since my fiancé is working in the US and I really don't wanna give up on my legal education, but on the other hand after 10 years or so of studies I don't really feel like going back to school for a JD (also don't feel like getting a crazy loan either).
I simply don't know what to do.
My field is European and International Law, specialty environnemental law and law of the Sea and I also have some publications on my own name in pretty nicely rated french law journals, I thought maybe i should try to apply to be a professor in a US school, has anyone an idea of my chances there?
I don't know if I've been very clear but I hope someone could help me on this..
