The time has come my friends; just thought may be we could record this 7-day period and keep track of the admission offers. Good luck to one & all :)

Do you think we will hear from them before March 21?
I hope so; this tension is unbearable.
Good luck to everybody (and please write us if Yale calls).

My understanding is that they're sending the letters via snail mail, which means (eg, for me) that if they make the decisions this week - I would not get it (best case scenario)until middle April.....

Mid April?? Where do you live that it takes 4 weeks to receive mail from the States? Four other universities sent me their letters via FedEx/UPS, so I dont think that its gonna be snail mail (maybe for rejections though). I mean, why else would we pay application fees.

I'm afraid it will be a long long wait.
Be strong and good luck!

I thought they would use email before I knew better & that they would in fact be MAILING the decisions
The application complete notification they sent says that we should keep them in the loop abt any change of mailing correspondence address - I guess thats a bit of a give-away in terms of their intent - that of using airmail/courier
CLS and NYU seem to be far more advanced/polished in this department at least... I hope the wait will be worthwhile. Fingers crossed

just a matter of days- hours now.
I called Harvard today and they told me all decisions will be made by the 22nd.
As soon as I know the outcome of my application I will post it online. ( fingers crossed, hope I got in!)

Does that mean that they aren't mailing anything until Thursday? Or will they be mailing stuff out continuously until the 22nd?

How did you hear about your admission decision? Did you give HLS a call? Or was it by e-mail?
Posted Mar 19, 2007 22:35
wow, congrats to those admitted... it sounds like the admits are being notified en masse... which probably isn't good news for me. oh well, maybe next year. : )

HLS started phoning to admitted students more than a week ago (my case) but they asked them to keep the news for themselfs in order to avoid that other applicants start calling "en masse" their office and believe that they have been rejected (indeed all admission decisions had not been taken at that time).
I believe that they started sending out official emails today, but i do not know if not getting an email today means that you are not admitted.
Obviously your chances are becoming less important, but until you haven't received a rejection there is the possibility of being admitted. So do not loose faith and try to be patient ( I know this is very difficult)
Congrats to all the admitted and I am happy to meet you next year at this exceptional university

Dear [x],
On behalf of Harvard Law School's Committee on Graduate Studies, I am
delighted to inform you that you have been admitted to our LL.M. Class
of 2007-08. Congratulations!
I am sending you this e-mail now because I wanted to share the good
news with you as soon as possible. We will be sending out the official
letter of admission and related materials later this week, and you
should receive them some time in the following week, depending on FedEx
delivery schedules. (If your admission is subject to your completing
certain degree or other requirements, those conditions will be
specified in your official admission letter.)
If you have also applied for financial aid, we will let you know our
decision on that application by April 10, 2007. (Since admission
decisions are made without reference to financial condition, we are
only now beginning to review financial aid applications.)
Meanwhile, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact
me.
I look forward to welcoming you to Harvard Law School!
