NYU and Columbia have already send some admissions.

Harvard will send all the admissions and rejections the same day, you can expect such mail by mid march.

I know that CLS sent plenty of admissions, but I thought that NYU only sent admissions for NYU@NUS but therein also stating that if ones admitted to NYU@NUS also can go to NYU...or am I wrong?

I think you are right! Nobody I know has been admitted yet for NY only - an there is plenty of promissing students among these applicants.

i too was under the impression that NYU had sent out only NUS admissions.

It would be really helpful if teh guys that have received CLS/NYU decisions thus far could share them.

Of the people who have been admitted to Columbia already, have you applied or been successful for financial aid??!!! Maybe the fact that applicants have applied for financial aid (such as myself) is the reason why so many of us have not received the decisions yet- as they would have to assess this also before releasing our admission or rejection decision which would obviously take much longer, hence the delay....

Thanks! It was completed in early december, and I received the admissions e-mail on 26th of January. I did however contact them for a faster descision as I had gotted admitted to another law school as well, that might have helped.

Hey,

I called up NYU this morning. They informed me that some of the offers have already been made and they are in the process for making the others "very soon". They did not define "very soon", but those who have been offered admission, could you please share?

Its a weird feeling I have now. Its isn't nervousness anymore - I am kinda numb about this whole thing.

Hello,

Has anyone noticed that all the people admitted to NYU so far (I mean from different threads here) have been granted full (savó for 1 guy - who has reporteâ 22K) tuition waiver with a very short acceptance period?

Lets do some imaginary and combine it with other facts we know:

1) All the scholaships are entirely merit-based;
2) All the decisions shall be released early to mid March

I am beginning to think that those, who has not got admissions from NYU this Monday or Tuesday MOST LIKELY will not get aid from NYU.

I was interested - how many scholarships does the NYU offer - as far as I concerned - not so many, not more that 25-30 (based on the info on their site and gossips).

So maybe all the "meritables" have been already detected and duly notified?

As for me, I have just printed out my CLS Tuition Deposit form, filled it with my credit card info and signed. I will wait a week or so.

I know that NYU always starts with the distribution of the big scholarships and it's clear that they want you to answer that fast, because they know that HLS and YLS will decide starting mid-march. They also are aware of the fact that CLS has a better reputation but often does not grant a scholarship that high...so, you do the math:-)

Apparently NYU now also started issuing admission decisions without scholarships. So the waiting won't take that long anymore.

Yes, I guess the first lot should hear from them by the end of this week. Does anyone have an idea of what kind of acceptance deadlines one faces for NYU offers?

I hope so too. Though I am not sure if NYU also communicates rejections - but I really hope they do.

I say that because I heard from somewhere that last yr ppl who didn't hear from them had to finally contact them on their own to find out about the decisions.. specifically the ones who got rejected. I am hoping the same doesn't happen this time around..
