So, are people getting e-mails from Harvard asking them to send in their details (and then getting a second e-mail with the decision)? Or are people getting unsolicited rejections and acceptances?

First, only the admitted received admissions emails(around 2 days ago).
Later, those, who didn't receive emails, sent email or called HLS to ask the decision. Some had to tell personal info to HLS via email again but for some (who already knew from the first group what info HLS gotta ask) sent only one email telling that info and then got reply emails.
I sent one email containing that info.

Thanks for the summary. I was curious because I see that someone here called Harvard today and found out that they've been accepted. Presumably this person didn't get an e-mail first?

Now there's my last question abour HLS-Do I have to reply to HLS after I got rejected, like 'thank you for your reply'?

Just an info that might be useful for all those who are still waiting: you can call HLS right away and let them tell you the result (if you think you can handle the news by phone without having a heart attack :)
I called them today and found out that I am on the waitlist...but have not received their email yet.
So there is still hope for those who have not received anything yet! keep faithful!

The day after....feels weird not to expect a life-changing email anymore when opening one's mailbox. It'll take some time until I let go of periodical refreshing :)
