Harvard LLM 2017-2018

I actually don't know her name. But it seems weird to me as well as I also saw that last year's admissions were around the 16-17th. He was probably misinformed.
I was also surprised not seeing any updates on the thread if acceptations were out !

Wait and See then.

Anyone has heard anything yet ? A friend of a friends just put up on her instagram that she was admitted to HLS for next fall ! Wondering if anyone else received some news.
Not me anyhow :)

It could very well be JD admissions too, not necessarily LL.M.

Is anyone applying straight from an undergraduate degree? Even better, is anyone on this thread applying straight from an undergraduate degree in the UK?

I am! Finishing my undergraduate this summer (optimistic I know).

Cool, which university are you coming from (if you don't mind me asking)? And what do you think the chances of us getting an offer are, considering US LLMs tend to be more professionally minded?

Regads

I'm at the University of Kent (Canterbury), which is by no means a bad school at all but it is very much still lacking the prestige of other universities in the UK which I hope does not affect my application too much.

I know people who have gone straight out of uni here to an LLM, but I am trying to keep as real as possible. I know I am at a disadvantage professionally but I have done a little bit of work experience at a firm and I'm hoping that will help. Hopefully they will look at our applications as an overall, with good enough grades and Personal Statements we would have a chance of sneaking in.

Where are you applying from?

Accordingo to HLS's email from last December, all LL.M. decisions will be released at the same time, so this person's approval ought to be something else than LL.M.

My thoughts exactly.

Any news??☹️

Nothing yet - - - I am glad to see I'm not the only one getting antsy as decision day may arrive at any moment now! Harvard's calendar does say this week is spring break, though. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Apparently, the HLS office will be closed for one day on Wednesday (14th) due to significant snowfall. I wonder whether this is will cause any delay to the admission process...

I guess the decisions have already been made. It must be just a matter of communication. Therefore, I hope they communicate the decision without any delay.

I don't think today's the day. It would seem unlikely that we'll hear anything when the school is closed. Even if decisions have already been made someone needs to push the send button. Though it would seem that decisions are always released on the Tuesday or Wednesday of the third week of March.

Unless decisions have been made and they have an automated system. UPenn sent out admission e-mails at 2 in the morning for example.. I am pretty sure they don't press send to the 2000 e-mails they have to send. There has to be an automated system with a date set for e-mails to be sent...

I would hope someone isn't unlucky enough to have to personally send all of them one by one.I just meant that I would assume someone has to initiate the process. If it is automatic though I could see a response today.

The two previous status emails sent by HLS seem to be sent during office hours.

anyway, let's hope the snow storm won't go on for long
