I guess being Waitlisted is as good as being rejected? Is it worth waiting?

Not at all. You should feel happy.I know one person who was waitlisted and got in.

Congratulations to all the admitted!

I am not in though.

Hi llm2014br, I note you have been admitted to both Harvard and Stanford. Also, I figure you are waiting for Yale too? What is your top choice? Where are you planning to enrol and why? Thanks.

Hi Sah130, Indeed I got accepted at Harvard, Yale and Stanford. I am currently leaning towards Yale, but I´m still not sure. Still waiting for financial aid decisions. I will decline Stanford, Columbia and Chicago offers today to speed up their waiting list. Between Harvard and Yale, thats a tough decision. Any thoughts?

Well, in my view, your decision should be based on your goals. If you are looking for an academic path after your ll.m. you should not think twice before enrolling at Yale. However, if you are looking at practicing in the US or even in your home country, I would say Stanford or Harvard would be better fits. That is just my two cents.

Yes, waitlisting has pretty much become just a nice way of saying denied. As for waiting, what are you really trying to get out the LLM at Harvard that some other university won't give you? If is just about the name, I would think carefully.

I got in folks.

I really feel sad for all the good folks here who missed out. I will be happy to keep the contact. Please pm me at will.

I genuinely feel terrible as relieved as this decision makes me. I have come to love you all. You have helped me keep the hope up. You helped me keep my sanity in check. Thank you for that

As others mentioned, go to Yale if you want to teach. Don't think that the others schools aren't good for that as well but that really seems to be Yale's focus.

If you want to practice law, clearly go with Harvard or Stanford. Quite honestly I like the attitude at Stanford better than Harvard. People are more relaxed and less snobby there. The people I've dealt with there have been much more welcoming than at Harvard.

Honestly it is hard to do wrong with any of the top schools in the US. There might be slightly better name recognition with Harvard but that has change a lot over the past 10 years. From my professional experience, Harvard grads like to talk about how much they can do whereas the Stanford ones are content to just show you. So if a big ego is important to you, then go to Harvard.

One thing to keep in mind is that just because a school has famous teachers, don't assume that those teachers are actually good at teaching! They may be there because they are famous, not because they are truly great teachers.

I truly didn't see it coming. I'm sorry I was so selfish to just publicly celebrate. I'm absolutely available if you think I could help you with absolutely anything. Send me a PM and I'll send you my e-mail. I just couldn't be happier.

congratulations to all those who made it. Have a great time in Cambridge (MA).

If you didn't dont let these stupid admission decisions define your life. The decisions have no discernible logic and plenty of people far more worthy than me were refused for reasons I still speculate about.

Congrats to all who got admitted, unfortunately I did not but I believe its for the best. At least I got Berkeley today so that takes off HLS's pain of rejection.

Wish you all the best !
