Harvard LLM 2015-2016

It seems that we are getting the results this Wednesday (or next week at the latest). But definitely before April 15, so I do not think they would grant you an expedited decision. Though you can always try and email/call them.

Let's hope for the best then.
Good luck to everyone!

Let's hope that the result will be out this week!

I looked at the dates of results for the last five years' results and it seems they have always been declared in the third week of March, and never in the fourth week. So I guess it will be the 18th or 19th.

But I've been waitlisted by Upenn, which crushed my hopes of getting into Harvard :( . I wish to know the minimum requirements that students got in with just to be prepared for the worst. And how much of an influence does my nationality have on my application - in terms of diversity- .

People get into Harvard for different reasons, some students get rejected by many other top schools and still manage to get into Harvard so do not lose hope just yet. Being waitlisted shouldn't crush you because at least you know that you have good credentials.

As for nationality I would say it plays an important role because LLM programs are usually designed for international students and every university tries to get a good number of different nationalities. I believe -but not certain- that they judge your profile against those from your region.

Care to share your credentials? It would probably help previous harvard students answer your question.

My kid sister was teasing yesterday.
She calls this a support group for those addicted to Harvard
She says that next time I want to post anything here i should start by saying "Hi everybody my name is HLSJUNKIE and I am a Harvard Junkie."

Hahhaha. I had such a good laugh. Thought to share.

hahaha, your li'l sister has a better sense of humour than most on this forum.

in other news, my only applications have been for the trio of harvard and oxbridge, and the wait is bloody bad. Whats worse is that these colleges also announce last. Good luck to everyone.

Hahahaha lovely..... May her statement come true and you do become HLSJUNKIE.
Good luck to all here ... We are close to our decisions and I am so badly enjoying this stressful moment being here with you guys ... (Though with 3 degrees all three with Above Average, I know it will be difficult for me to make to Harvard but still this wait is killing)

is the HLS admissions office open on St Patrick's day?

If not we can take a rest today and return to panicking tomorrow.

St Patrick's Day is not a federal holiday in the USA. So I think they should be working.

hang on - is above average not a good rating?
i have two degrees - my performance in the main one is rated superior and the supplementary one above average.

i want to go to sleep and wake up when the results are out. i am barely functional :(

an 'above average' rating doesn't disqualify you - but it does put you at a disadvantage when there's a disparity between two transcripts

thanks for your answer! the superior rating is for my undergraduate degree - the above average rating is for a challenging post graduate course that i completed while working. and the professor who taught the post graduate course is one of my recommenders.

really hoping that it isnt a disadvantage!

It would be huge relief if they render decisions this week latest. I have one half tuition scholarship that I shall be responding to before 23 March.

I also have two "above average" degrees. So far, received offers from Yale, Stanford, Columbia and Chigado. I am hoping the "above average" won´t materially affect my chances with Harvard...
