Dear Board participants,
I am a 2007 LLM applicant. I have graduated from the University of Westminster (London) with the First Class Honours degree. I have an overwhelming desire to be admitted to the Harvard law school since my childhood.
The major stumbling point, in my opinion, is the fact that my overall Labour law mark was 40 % (that is one module taken while on the last level), that is quite bad. However, I am at the top 3 of my class since only 3 students out of 24 got First Class Degree.
I have a significant record of extracuricullar activities in my CV, 5 publications so far and a number of music (piano and guitar) competitions awards.
Does the aforementioned mark reduce my chance to be admitted?
Please, I DO need your advice!!!
Harvard application - PLEASE HELP!!!

advice: don´t sweat it.
two reasons:
1. nothing can be done now anyway. i.e. it is too late to change your labor law mark which was quite bad and constitutes the major stumbling point in your opinion;
2. in one week from now the answers will be known.

Dear bjorn,
Thanks a lot for your reply. Sorry, I've made a mistake. I am going to apply for the academic year 2008-2009.

they won't refuse your application simply because you failed at one exam.
don't be too stressed because of that

I agree. They will look at your overall class ranking not individual grades.
In any event, if you don't get into Harvard in the scheme of things there are other wonderful things out there in the world for you to focus on.

Rest easy.
I had two or three barely passing marks in my transcript and got accepted.
It's not important in the greater scheme of things.
